TECHNICAL SUPPORT and COMMISSIONING ENGINEER (m/f/d) — Paddington, Brisbane

Create something fascinating: Your key responsibilities Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to bulk material handling equipment, such as shiploaders, stackers, and reclaimers Analyse both ASCII and binary log data in order to identify faults and anomalies Commission new equipment and systems, ensuring that they are installed and operated correctly and safely Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure its optimal performance and to avoid unplanned downtime Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and services required for maintenance and repairs Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment and systems Keep accurate records of maintenance and service activities Provide regular reports to management on the performance and status of equipment and systems What you bring to the table A hands-on, safety-oriented professional with strong technical, communication, and project management skills Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field (e.g., software, electrical, control systems). Candidates with significant work experience without a formal degree will be considered as well Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support, maintenance, or commissioning Ability to work independently for extended periods of time as well as part of a local and a global team Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure Robust knowledge in information technology Proficiency in English (IELTS 6 or equivalent) Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, both within Australia and internationally A visa allowing ongoing (at least 24 months) full time work with same employer An open driver's license Beneficial experience Software development (C# and C++) 3D LiDAR sensors RTK GPS systems Previous exposure to industrial environments, such as steel mills, mines, and ports Knowledge of bulk handling equipment Previous exposure to PLCs (Rockwell, GE, Schneider, Siemens).
