About the role Working directly with multiple stakeholders this role serves as the escalation point for resolving software, hardware and networks issues impacting restaurant operations. This role is also accountable for the ongoing systems management and upgrade of restaurant technology to maximise operational efficiencies. In addition, this role provides SME support on various projects in the Restaurant Technology space. Key activities include: Incident Management Resolution of complex system issues escalated by level 1 IT support on restaurant facing technology in accordance with agreed SLAs (I.E electronic menu boards, kiosks, EFTPOS, instore POS (point-of-sale), drive through displays etc.) Escalation and management of issues to other teams or external vendors as required including necessary information for effective resolution. Serve as primary resource for all POS, ancillary hardware and store configuration needs. Work cross-functionally with operations, marketing, ecommerce, and third-party partners to capture, track and implement restaurant facing bug fixes and software enhancements. Systems Management Implement, upgrade, manage and support the restaurant and online environments including all hardware, software, network and third party integrations. Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement fixes, upgrades or system changes to maximise operational efficiencies. Prepare and deliver training for other IT teams, so that they can provide effective support to their customers. Project Delivery and Support Serve as the restaurant systems subject matter expert when interacting with other departments, groups, and individuals on relevant restaurant system concerns, projects, and initiatives. About You Essential Experience in a senior technical support role (Level 3 IT support or higher) with sound knowledge in Windows based operating systems and cloud platforms. Knowledgeable in security protocols, IT systems, networking infrastructures and database systems. Demonstrated experience with supporting API driven integration of multiple systems. A strong focus on customer service with excellent communications skills and the ability to explain complex IT issues into ‘plain English’. Desirable Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting technology for Oracle Micros Siphony or other POS in QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) or Retail environments.
