Due to our continued growth and exciting project wins, we are seeking experienced Control Systems Engineers to join our growing team in Perth. Our current projects include design, construction, commissioning, and optimisation for brownfield and greenfield mining, materials handling, mineral processing and port facilities across multiple commodities including iron ore, gold, salt, coal and nickel. We are looking for engineering professionals with experience in a design and execution team. New Zealand and interstate candidates are encouraged to apply. Key responsibilities: Control System Design: Design, develop, and implement control systems solutions for mining, mineral processing, and infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet industry standards and client requirements. PLC and SCADA Programming: Utilise your PLC and SCADA programming experience to create efficient and reliable control systems. Technical Leadership: Take ownership of control system aspects within projects. Where required, lead a team of engineers to ensure technical excellence and successful project execution. Documentation: Independently produce technical documentation including reports, specifications, procedures, and manuals to a high standard. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, project alignment, and successful outcomes. Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers, fostering their professional growth within the company. Site and Commissioning Support: Participate in site visits and commissioning activities to ensure control systems operate as intended in real-world environments. Our ideal candidates would have some or all the following: An Engineering degree or similar tertiary qualifications Experience in Australian mining projects / operations Relevant PLC Programming Experience (e.g. Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, GE/Emerson) Relevant SCADA Programming Experience (e.g. Citect, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, Cimplicity) An ability to interpret electrical schematics and develop control systems designs based on these and other design inputs Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills An ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, in writing and in person Good organisational, time management and decision-making capabilities Desirable additional skills/experience: Bulk materials handling Mineral processing plants Mobile machines: stackers, reclaimers, shiploaders and associated stockyard systems Other relevant technology related skills.
