They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Manager to focus exclusively on utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) within the Australian market. The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of utility-scale BESS, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual with a deep understanding of the energy sector and a proven track record in sales. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets for utility-scale BESS. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the utility-scale sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, project developers, and EPC contractors. Lead the sales process from prospecting through to closing, including proposal development, contract negotiation, and post-sales support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and customer support, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform product development and sales strategies. Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability. Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote utility-scale BESS. Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations. Mentor and support junior sales team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Continuously improve sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees are advantageous. Extensive experience in sales within the energy sector, specifically with utility-scale BESS. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Deep understanding of the Australian energy market, including regulatory, technical, and commercial aspects. Strong network of contacts within the utility-scale sector. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
