This rewarding volunteer role will see you driving our residents in a 14-seater bus 2-4 days a week to various locations including functions, lunch outings, shopping, or community events. Our volunteer driver will have a calm, friendly and understanding manner and be able to assist the residents on and off the bus. You will have a safe driving record and an endorsed driver’s license (Light Rigid (LR) or above) that allows you to drive our 14-seater bus. Why volunteer? Volunteering in aged care can be an extremely rewarding and valuable experience. While many residents might otherwise miss out on contact with people within the local community, our bus driver provides this important link offering our residents the opportunity to stay connected. Volunteers get to share in first-hand personal stories and experiences from our resident’s past while adding a new brightness to their present. How Do I Register? During the interview process, we will advise you on the completion of relevant documentation as well as the orientation process.
