Finance and Administration Manager 4 days per week — Maudsland, Gold Coast West

4 days per week - every Friday off Work in a picturesque garden setting Be part of the ongoing growth and modernisation of our finance function The Finance and Administration Role Working alongside our Nursery Manager and surrounded by beautiful gardens, this role will deliver high quality, commercially astute bookkeeping and financial management, to keep the business in good order and support decision making. In addition to the finance management, there will be several administration responsibilities incorporated within this function, providing a stimulating role with great variety. This includes:- Working with MYOB Account Right, completing data entry, invoicing, inventory support, purchase orders, accounts payable and receivable Overseeing the smooth running of the office and administration functions Managing budgets in collaboration with the business owners and Nursery Manager Preparing financial reports for monthly meetings with the business owners Compliance with all legal and statutory obligations and safeguarding the company's assets Company insurance renewals and licensing Assisting the Nursery Manager with preparing reports and managing inventory Some basic office duties such as mail, ordering office stationery and answering the phone when nursery staff are on breaks Overseeing the office IT functions, and troubleshooting general IT challenges with the team or external service providers Managing payroll, superannuation payments, and workers' compensation Complete the monthly BAS preparation, supporting workpapers and EOFY preparation Undertaking regular reconciliation of revenue streams Liaising with the external accountant Overseeing property leases, equipment leases, and company vehicles. In addition to the day to day functions, you will be an integral part of various projects to streamline processes. About You You will be an experienced Finance and Administration Manager preferably with a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or an Accounting degree, who loves variety, enjoys streamlining processes using technology and revels in a wide ranging combination of finance and administration tasks. In addition to the Microsoft Office standard software suite, demonstrable skills in using MYOB Account Right will be essential. With a proactive, cheerful and helpful approach you will find solutions and efficiencies, while building and maintaining strong relationships with your colleagues. You will be the type of person who is approachable, a positive communicator and has the experience and initiative to see what needs to be organised and managed across an office. This role is 30 hours per week across 4 days, onsite, with Fridays off Your Future With Us As we continue to expand the business, we will grow and learn together. Due to the nature of the role, the location of the work is onsite at the Wongawallan office in the Gold Coast hinterland, within our award winning garden centre.
