Selection Criteria SC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs. SC2 Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth. SC3 Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning. Demonstrated experience in using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents. SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing and engagement. There are three Learning Hubs at the College. The Hubs are named in the Gunai Kurnai language to symbolise students’ journey through the College: Year 7 – Wargomerrin (Morning) Year 8-9 – Wurrin (Day) Years 10, 11 & 12 – Malgobila (Night) Each Hub is supported by an Assistant Principal, Leading Teachers, Coordinators, Education Support Staff, Learning Support Assistants and Student Wellbeing team. The Malgobilia team also integrates VCAL Staff and a Careers team. This ethos enables a holistic approach to the needs of each of our students encompassing our school values and the strong link between education and wellbeing. The College also has a satellite site providing an alternative VCAL study centre (Ngooloo) for regional youth disengaged from mainstream education provision and potentially at risk. Responsibilities Conduct and run Ensembles and String Orchestra and be inclusive of all skill levels of students Prepare students for AMEB examinations, where appropriate Assist and prepare students for instrumental concerts, performances, official school events and productions some of which may be outside of the regular school day.
