About You As School Support Officer (Level 4), you will be an integral member of the school community joining a vibrant support staff team in the role of Administrative Assistant - Student Services. As the first point of contact for student enquiries, you are responsible for providing excellent client service to the College&39;s students, parents and staff and ensuring this service is friendly and welcoming. This is a diverse and challenging role that requires someone who enjoys meeting people and can handle situations with tact, confidentiality, organisation, and initiative. To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate the ability to: create a welcoming and excellent student services environment for students, parents and staff provide administrative support to teachers and the College Leadership team recognise confidential issues as they arise and treat them with the sensitivity required work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines manage student attendance records including absentee, late arrival and early departure provide First Aid for students and staff, including general care, attend to student injuries/illnesses, compile first aid and accident registers and medications provision manage student transport passes and lost property learn new systems (Compass knowledge would be an advantage) promote and implement Sydney Catholic Schools’ mission and vision To know and love Christ through learning and Thriving Catholic communities through excellent teaching and learning promote and abide by Sydney Catholic Schools’ values of empathy, curiosity, excellence, collaboration and truth any other duties as directed by the Principal. Knowledge and Experience (Essential): Certificate III/IV (TAFE NSW) or equivalent post-secondary qualification in administration, human resources, finance, accounting or equivalent Minimum three years administrative/clerical experience Minimum one year experience working with children/working in a school Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organisational skills Demonstrated sound personal qualities of tact, reliability, and an ability to work with others individually and as a team member Honesty, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times A valid Working With Children Check clearance (WWC) number Willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools. Knowledge and Experience (Desirable): First Aid Certificate A current driver’s licence.
