Overview We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join a global engineering and manufacturing leader in tech that does cool stuff that matters.The Mechanical Engineer Intern role is a unique role. In this role, you would be responsible for supporting mechanical systems through all design phases. You would initially work with a small team of engineers to effectively take over control of a vehicles systems using electrical harnesses & actuators. This role would be the perfect fit for a college undergraduate currently enrolled in a mechanical engineering program. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Wangara, Western Australia. Responsibilities As Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will: Use CAD (Solidworks) software to create models and drawings of products and assemblies Organize and maintain engineering records Design and develop new products and prototypes Support design engineering testing and validation Apply working knowledge of manufacturing processes to product design Support manufacturing build process from engineering design perspective Qualifications Must-Have: Currently enrolled in a Mechanical (or equivalent) Engineering undergraduate program Basic experience with CAD software Ability to work in person at Wangara office Key Success Factors: Natural drive to find innovative solutions to challenging problems Professional, self-motivated, detail oriented & accountable Nice-to-Have: Undergraduate GPA > 3.0 Solidworks experience Previous Internship experience Relevant hobbies and activities Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
