Teacher - Rydalmere East Public School — The Rocks, Sydney

Position Information Rydalmere East Public School has an enrolment of 140 students, with 56% of students from language backgrounds other than English and 6% of students identified as Aboriginal. We are a diverse community that includes a population of approximately 20% students from families that serve in The Australian Defence Force. We are a K-6 school with an onsite preschool and three support classes (autism and a multi-categorical) for students with additional needs. The hardworking and dedicated staff consist of a mix of early career and experienced teachers. We offer a quality education in a caring, nurturing environment. A copy of the School Plan and further information about the school can be found on the school website. https://rydalmeree-p.schools.nsw.gov.au Selection Criteria Approval to teach Infants and Primary K-6 and the ability to deliver quality, differentiated K-6 literacy and numeracy programs with a strong understanding of syllabus documentation and the use of data to inform teaching. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop relationships and engage students, staff and members of the community to contribute to a positive, cohesive school culture. Demonstrated capacity and willingness to contribute to whole school and extracurricular activities, including choir, public speaking and debating, and/or primary sport. Ability to enhance and support whole school PBL wellbeing programs and implement evidence based behaviour and classroom management strategies to cater for the needs of students with varying behavioural, academic and social needs. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
