The Customer Success Insights is responsible for detailing and analyzing customer data, looking at how we interact with Customers, detailing performance indicators across Customer Success Operations, looking for financial benefits to the business and analysing metrics to identify emerging patterns of behavior for both our customers and our frontline experts. You will be part of a growing Engineering Community at Optus and will have the opportunity to work on impactful business projects. As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for modelling raw data into clean, tested, and reusable datasets to make it easier for business and data analysts, data scientists and other business partners to view and understand our data in a warehouse or database. Also in collaboration with Data Governance, the Data Engineer will be responsible for producing and maintaining data documentation so that everyone uses the same definitions and language. Your day to day will consist of Efficient, timely and accurate delivery of data sets against business requirements Work across various data platforms and APIs to build pipelines. Design, build, and optimize the data architecture and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines to make them accessible for Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business users to enable data-driven & informed decision-making. Write data transformation jobs through using Python and SQL based code in cloud platform. Provide mentorship for the consolidation of information from across the business to identify, define, share, and play an active part in process improvements. Closely collaborating with the Data Science and Analytics teams to share insights and provide requirements and contribute recommendations systems and processes crafted for prioritisation and engagement. What makes you perfect for the role? Professional qualifications in a quantitative field (Data Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics). Practical experience (SQL certifications, Python, Cloud certifications) and proven exposure to a variety of data related roles within a complicated organisation. Experience working with and a solid understanding of relational databases and data lakes, with an emphasis on data warehousing, performance tuning, and analytics use cases. Superb communication and presentation skills with demonstrable ability to work through complex issues to reach an outcome. Flexibility to handle conflicting priorities and balance demands on time with an attention to detail and accuracy. Optus is a place where we let you do you.
