About the team Retail Ready Operations Australia (RROA) is the first Coles owned retail ready meat facility. Based at Erskine Park, our site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met. Our facility is fully integrated into the Coles sourcing, production, and logistics and stores' network. About the role The Engineering Manager is an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team and will report directly to the Head of Site. The role will work cross-functionally supporting customer requirements and assist with the continuous improvement of each business function. You will also: Lead the safety culture through leading by example and team engagement. Ensure development plans are in place, capability needs assessed and development initiatives planned with Engineering employees. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of project and maintenance activities, which can be readily accessed for traceability, to build knowledge, and to evaluate performance Be accountable for enhancing plant performance through implementation of Lean principles and RCM processes to maximise line availability and best practice first pass quality. Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all plant utilities and services in compliance with all company standards and legislative requirements. About you and your skills In depth engineering management experience within a food FMCG business leading large multi-disciplinary workforce. Previous experience developing and implementing CMMS processes to reduce downtime and manage maintenance activities. Experience in performing against maintenance KPI's and developing maintenance tactics to drive continuous improvement in all maintenance activities. Experience developing zero based maintenance and capital budgets within a strategic framework to deliver value on P&L and capital investment. Knowledge and experience in the implementation and ongoing use of LEAN principles.
