About the role In this role, you will undertake engineering design reviews and oversee the delivery of new road, drainage and other civil infrastructure works as part of the subdivision process. The objective of the role is to ensure that new developments are in accordance with applicable requirements and standards. Work type: Permanent Full Time Classification: Band 6 ($90,263.74 - $97,365.62 pa plus super) Key responsibilities include: Analyse and evaluate submitted engineering documentation including drawings and specifications relating to subdivisional development to confirm compliance with relevant standards and requirements. Oversee construction of approved infrastructure works in accordance with relevant standards including monitoring of safe construction techniques and procedures. Liaise with developers, consultants, contractors and statutory authorities and provide authoritative advice on Council standards and requirements. Liaise and direct activities of subdivision inspection personnel. Monitor quality control of construction works. Ensure compliance with planning permit conditions including payment of required monies prior to release of titles for subdivisions. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or several years of relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles in examining engineering documentation for subdivisional plans. Ability to communicate clearly, tactfully and concisely with staff and members of the community.
