The Opportunity As a Visual Merchandising and Interior Design Specialist at King Living, you will assist the Head of Brand Environment in executing the VM strategy and plan, globally. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the brand’s image and driving sales by creating visually appealing and captivating Showroom displays and layouts. You will collaborate closely with the broader Marketing, Design and Retail & Operations teams to bring our furniture designs to life in our showrooms, ensuring a seamless and inspiring customer experience. This role requires a blend of creativity, commercial and strategic thinking, and attention to detail and will be required to travel domestically (regularly) and internationally (periodically/as needed). Responsibilities Plan and execute visually compelling showroom layouts that showcase King Living's furniture collections while maximising space and traffic flow. Develop VM calendars and programs and execute visual merchandising strategies to drive foot traffic, engage customers, and increase sales. Assist with the development and roll out of new Showroom openings, including signage, fixtures, floor plans, layout, product selection and design. Work closely with the marketing and retail teams to align visual merchandising efforts with marketing campaigns and promotions. Set a rhythm and cadence for showroom visits and check ins to support regional and international showrooms. Monitor flock ‘go to marketing’ timelines and availability by collaborating with the procurement/design teams to ensure products are in stock and ready for display. Manage the ordering process of flock to ensure product arrives aligning to the marketing calendar. Develop, maintain, and enforce visual merchandising standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency across all King Living locations. Review showroom results and flock performance to ensure merchandising supports sell through to maximise sales for demographic and climate. Gather feedback from customers and Showroom consultants / VMA’s to continually improve visual merchandising strategies and displays. Identify and implement opportunities to test and learn. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor displays, and emerging visual merchandising techniques, including digital, to keep King Living at the forefront of furniture retail Essential Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Preferred 4 years’ experience in Visual Merchandising within the retail industry, preferably in the furniture or home decor sector. Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, customer journey and visual storytelling. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software, InDesign, Photoshop & Microsoft Office suite required.
