Contract Administrator — Ballarat Region, Victoria

Permanent, Full-time position with a Fortnightly RDO Band 6 salary range from $82,922 to $89,577 per annum plus statutory superannuation An exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team The Role This position has a leading role in assisting and supporting the delivery of the City of Ballarat's annual Capital Works Program for Civil Construction. Some of the key deliverables include: To undertake the supervision and administration of Council's capital works contracts for civil construction works and other projects as required. To provide the Coordinator Infrastructure Delivery with regular and timely reporting on all contracts administered To participate in the development, maintenance and revision processes associated with the Infrastructure Delivery quality system. To ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards through the application of Council's contract administration procedures and processes. To liaise with other sections effectively and efficiently within the Infrastructure and Environment Division to obtain all necessary information for the effective delivery of Council's capital works contracts. To undertake procurement and evaluation of tenders and quotations to facilitate the delivery of Council’s capital works program To provide written reports and recommendations for the awarding of contracts. About You This position requires a technically minded, highly motivated professional that has tertiary qualifications in Civil Construction or extensive experience and specialist skills in coordinating the administration of projects deliverables to time, budget and specification constraints with the ability to solve on site construction issues as they arise.
