Overview IBISWorld is seeking a talented Senior UX/UI Designer to elevate the digital experience across our retail and client websites. As a key member of our design team, you will collaborate with Product, Development, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to craft solutions that enhance how users interact with our extensive data and content. This role is ideal for a mid-weight designer ready to grow or an experienced senior designer eager to apply their skills to a diverse, global user base. The ideal candidate will excel in a hybrid work environment and bring value both as a design leader and an individual contributor. Key Duties Hands-On Contribution: Craft seamless and intuitive digital experiences across diverse applications, leaning on empathy, data insights, and best-practice design principles to craft impactful solutions for our innovative data and analysis products. Offer support and constructive feedback to designers and developers, fostering a collaborative and encouraging environment that enhances outcomes and drives excellence. Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to create and deliver engaging digital experiences. Expert in user journeys and behavior to make meaningful improvements, informed by user needs and feedback. Continuously improve by iterating on interactions, flows, patterns, data visualization, visual design, and the delivery of new features. Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to gain insights into user behaviors and preferences, using these findings to guide design decisions. Create wireframes and prototypes, effectively communicating insights and designs to collaborators and stakeholders. Design Team Oversight: Incorporate best-practice design processes into our development cycles. Run friendly and constructive reviews and critiques with the design team and stakeholders. Support and mentor other designers to help them deliver outstanding results. Skills and Requirements Design Experience: 4 years of senior designer experience delivering effective, intuitive UX and UI designs for web-based experiences. You’ve worked with a range of users, use cases, content (including data visualization) and collaborators. You’re familiar with analyzing user data and you know your way around Figma. Nice to have: leading or managing projects and teams; B2B. Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of HTML/CSS (minimum) and JavaScript would be highly beneficial. Client Focus & Empathy: Passionate about understanding the people who use our content and their business needs. You’re curious and creative when it comes to understanding the motivations of our clients and end-users. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled written and verbal communicator, and comfortable with synchronous and asynchronous interactions across time zones. You build strong relationships with developers, designers, marketing and product managers to deliver outcomes. Design Systems: Experience creating and working with design systems. You’re an advocate for craft and accessibility, delivering high-quality UX, UI and interaction design in the products you work on or oversee, and know when to lean on an existing pattern or when to explore something new. Nice to have: e-commerce design. Research and Intuition: Balance instincts and research, relying on intuition when needed and knowing when and how to employ research methods. You communicate options and decisions using a mix of data and experience.
