Forklift Driver (Day Shift) – Pet food factory Our client is a leading company in the pet food production industry. They pride themselves on creating a safe and supportive work environment where our employees can thrive. They are currently looking for an experienced Forklift Driver to Join their day shift team. Start times may vary from 5 am to 7 am. Responsibilities: Operate forklifts to move, stack, and organise materials within the warehouse and production areas. Assist with production tasks as needed, constituting approximately 20% of the job. Ensure that products are handled safely and efficiently. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the forklift to ensure optimal operation. Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring proper storage and handling. Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production targets are met. Requirements: Valid forklift license and proven experience as a forklift operator. With a minimum of 2 years experience driving a counterbalance forklift. Must have full working rights. This position is casual but with full-time hours. There is also overtime when required. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting to 25kg. You must be okay with a cold environment, as you may have to store stock in fridges and freezers. knowledge of warehouse and production operations. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to safety and compliance with all workplace regulations. Preparedness to work in an environment with strong odors, as the site is a pet food factory, which can take some getting used to. Great hourly rate and ongoing position.
