If so, this may be your next mission We have an exciting opportunity within the recently acquired Sykes Pumps, a company within the Portable Flow pillar of the Power and Flow division. As the Design and Quality Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will lead the design and quality assurance efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and deliver superior products to our customers. Key responsibilities Collaborate with suppliers to identify quality gaps and implement improvement strategies. Develop inspection methods to analyse product quality. Recommend changes based on failure reports and feedback channels. Prepare reports summarizing data for improvement needs. Maintain Quality system documentation and conduct ISO 9001:2015 audits. Follow up on corrective actions and verify effectiveness. Design and develop new products to meet market demands. Conduct engineering calculations and adhere to relevant standards. Communicate design intent to stakeholders. Participate in R&D projects and validate designs. To be considered for this role, you must have: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar. Minimum 4 years' experience as a Mechanical or Design Engineer. Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO requirements. Strong problem-solving skills and CAD proficiency. Familiarity with FMEA and engineering principles. Excellent communication and project management abilities.
