Senior Product Designer — Surry Hills, Sydney

What's the role? News Corp Australia is seeking an experienced Product Designer. Working with some of Australia's most recognised and prestigious media brands, you will partner with the product and UX teams to bring to life digital experiences centred around our consumer, and our business objectives. This role will drive all aspects of design from concept through to delivery. The ideal candidate is collaborative, entrepreneurial, takes initiative, and strives to develop and foster growth for themselves and for others. With a demonstrated background in product UI design, you will be technically minded with a high-level of attention to detail, and a passion for translating business challenges into actionable solutions that add value to the user and meet business requirements. Who are you? You have experience working within a design language system and advocating component reuse, maintainability and consistency across teams and projects. You know how to connect the dots between the different aesthetics required for multiple brands and audiences in order to create a cohesive style. 4 years experience as a product designer. Exceptional visual UI design skills: typography, layout, colour logic, motion, behaviour and design system thinking. Familiarity with Design Systems, and a willingness to work within and contribute to our overarching Design System. Experience creating omni-channel design solutions that cross multiple platforms. Expertise in socialising and presenting creative work in a compelling and persuasive way to cross functional partners and senior leadership. Ability to prioritise while simultaneously handling demands and changes. Skilled in establishing relationships across the company in order to better understand the functions of other departments and expand your expertise. Comprehensive understanding of design standards and best practices, as well as interaction and visual design disciplines. Desire to mentor and share skills with other team members. A self-starter with experience working effectively in a fast-paced and large enterprise. Operational excellence, ensuring the team delivers high quality work, on time and on budget.
