The position To generate and create profitable sales from existing and new customers that align with our client's strategy for gross margin growth and financial/operational performance, while providing timely support to both internal and external customers. Duties include: Respond to incoming customer inquiries, develop accounts, and generate quotes using our client's database; ensure the database is maintained and monitor/follow up on quotations. Identify and act on opportunities to increase market share by growing sales. Meet the quote and order processing KPIs, including conversion rates, and maintain CRM data. Provide product prices, delivery specifications, and payment terms, and offer substitute products where appropriate. Assist outside sales and/or branch management in processing priority transactions. Enter and maintain purchase orders, customer orders, procurement matches, and trade discounts as needed. Work with internal departments to set up and maintain accurate customer files (profiles). Provide prompt responses to internal and external customer, vendor, and branch inquiries about the material and the sales function. Skills & experience required: Sales experience, with a preference for experience in valves and/or automation. Preferable understanding of oil, gas, and/or mining industry specifications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate, ideally with experience in SAP or a similar in-house ordering system. Demonstrated ability to communicate and promote ideas. Willingness and ability to travel within and outside the region, with occasional overnight stays as needed.
