The key duties of the position include The Role The Directorate of Digital Communication and Engagement (DCE) in Defence Digital Group (DDG) is seeking an APS 6 to support their strategic communication function. The DCE team is responsible for developing and managing communication tactics and channels to support Defence's Chief Information Officer to communicate to staff and industry partners. The team also manages ICT project related communication and stakeholder engagement on behalf of the Group, which is currently delivering 226 Projects for Defence. This role is highly visible and provides an ideal opportunity for people looking to take the next step in their career or to better understand the inner workings of Defence and the Australian Government. The duties of this role include, but are not limited to: Providing graphic design services from concept through to release in support the DDG communication strategy and senior leadership team. Translating complex ICT subject matter into digestible visual communication tactics to drive engagement. Supporting a busy communication team to deliver on the forward work plan and messaging schedule. Utilising the teams planning tool effectively to manage workload. Developing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels. Prioritising workload to meet deadlines. Managing the DDG brand in line with the Defence branding manual and writing guide. Contributing to an energetic, fun and productive culture. Managing internal digital communication channels, analysing and facilitating content and online material. Facilitating pre and post video production for internal audiences.
