In this role you will work collaboratively with a team of communication colleagues and engage with a range of department and government stakeholders to deliver quality graphic design services that support communication and engagement objectives. You will work in a fast-paced but highly supportive environment managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines.What you will be doing- Designing for a wide range of print and digital materials including brochures, advertisements, presentations, multimedia, newsletters, banners, flyers, large-scale print (exhibition displays) and marketing materials.- Advising and assisting communication officers with the development of creative design strategies to achieve business objectives.- Providing accurate and timely technical advice regarding design-related matters.- Creating and producing quality graphic design that is accessible and meets Queensland Government accessibility guidelines.- Providing advice on corporate identity standards and issues relating to the department's Corporate Identity Policy and the Queensland Government Corporate Identity Guidelines.- Developing templates in the Microsoft suite for the production of documents by departmental staff.- Liaising with external suppliers of design services and products and monitoring the quality of work delivered.- Maintaining the department's photo library and other graphic databases for graphic design and multimedia projects.
