IT Projects and Support Engineer — Camira, Ipswich

The Role Based in our Brisbane office we are currently seeking a talented IT Projects & Support Engineer to join our team. This role is available initially on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis. The role will be responsible for the on-time and in-budget execution and delivery of critical business system installations, upgrades, and migrations. Success in this role also requires the expert application of support to all key internal stakeholders. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Work closely with the IT Manager and vendors to execute IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and process improvements. Align with key internal stakeholders to understand their needs and recommend technology solutions that align with their objectives. Ensure project milestones are delivered on time and within budget. Partner with vendors to prepare competitive and value-driven quotes. Seek out ways to improve existing systems and processes. Support decision-making by writing extensive and thorough business cases. Ensure sufficient due diligence and justification is made to support recommendations. Provide documentation for compliance and governance purposes. Write technical guides for common end-user tasks. Handover completed projects including documentation to the IT Infrastructure EngineerManager for on-going administration and maintenance. Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a seamless user experience. To be successful in this role you will also need: Bachelor’s degree in information technology (or equivalent years of experience). Prior demonstrated experience in a Senior IT role, ideally 5 years plus within a fast-paced, complex business. Experience with networking including VLANs, VPN, DHCP, and firewall whitelisting. Hands-on approach to problem solving. Strong understanding of information security principles, technologies, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong project management skills. Demonstrated proficiency in executing IT projects effectively. Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals. Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Intune including application whitelisting. Knowledge of regulatory standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, NIST CSF, IRAP, Essential 8, ISM Controls, CMMC, DEFSTAN 05-138, FedRAMP. Supplementary requirements Driver's License.
