Senior Sales Engineer, APAC Region (Australia Remote) — The Rocks, Sydney

Reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering (APAC), the Principal Consultant aligns with and supports the APAC Sales organization with technical sales engagement within existing customers, prospects and partners to drive revenue growth. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Working cohesively with the direct sales team as well as partner sales staff in the region to achieve assigned sales goals. Presenting to prospective customers the entire Cofense solution suite from a technical sales perspective, highlighting the business value of our offerings. Leading by example: act as a strong cybersecurity technical sales voice in the region, engaging with peers, Sales and Channel Partners to promote Cofense phishing defense capabilities Excellent presentation and communication skills. Must demonstrate the capability to effectively communicate technical information and benefits. Ability to build rapport with a variety of audiences, from line technicians to C-Level Executives. Managing trials/POCs with multiple clients concurrently. Completing RFPs and security questionnaires and other technical documentation as needed during the sales process. Developing and maintaining relationships with technical staff in information security departments across a variety of industries. Act as a mentor to Sales Engineering peers to develop and share opportunity & solution best practice. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Excellent communication skills with the capability to build rapport with a variety of audiences, from line technicians to C-Level Executives. Excellent presentation skills with the capability to relay technical information and business benefit effectively. Possess a solid technical background with sound judgement and good business sense. Ability to lead collaborative work with Sales colleagues and Sales Engineering peers. Ability to qualify the viability of a sales opportunity from a technical perspective. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in a high paced geographically dispersed organization Strong understanding of laws and regulatory requirements driving customer IT security programs Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to excellence Ability to manage information using Salesforce (CRM) and Vivun Hero. Capable of managing multiple high priority tasks to successful completion Ability to travel within the APAC region as required Education and/or Experience: 5-10 years of experience in sales engineering 4 Year Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree preferred CISSP or SANS Certification preferred Experienced in troubleshooting solutions deployed in enterprise networks, understanding of proxies, LDAP/Active Directory, e-mail infrastructure and other related technologies Experience with virtual machine environments, AWS and/or Azure platforms preferred. Experience with SIEM and/or Threat Intelligence platforms. Hands-on experience in providing information security services such as assessments, penetration tests, Security Operations Center Microsoft Exchange (on-premise and Exchange Online) administration, configuration experience preferred.
