Mechanical Engineer - Materials Handling — Perth CBD, Perth

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer with extensive background in materials handling to join our Resources and Materials Engineering group. You will work across a wide range of commodities for major mining operators within the West Australian region. Your role will focus on an exciting and diverse array of projects, including mine, rail, port, tailings and non-process infrastructure. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Undertaking mechanical design, documentation and construction support work on engineering projects through all project phases Contributing to the development of GHD's knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering Assisting the Mechanical Team Lead in promotion of GHD's strategy, business ethics and values to the staff within the Service Groups Contributing to the teams ongoing commercial success with clients, from tender submissions and continued focus on client engagement and relationship building What you will bring to the team: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering 2 - 8 years resource market experience, with a focus on materials handling Experience with Ansys CFD, Fluidflow 3 and Solidworks is favourable Experience with WA's Iron Ore Producers or major miners is well regarded, as is experience in a similar consulting organisation Ability to work with all levels including the potential to mentor/guide graduate engineers Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, open communication Focus on client service, good people relationship and networking skills Interested?
