Due to a recent acquisition, there have been some structural changes that has presented an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Control System Engineer to join their team. ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be a key member of the engineering department responsible for designing, drafting, and improving the electrical and control systems and operation of all fluid handling systems and projects to meet customer satisfaction and statutory requirements. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following. • Design and develop electrical systems and generate technical documentation in accordance with relevant electrical and instrumentation engineering standards • End-to-end process excellence focus through systems, automation, and continuous improvement across all projects • Design Electrical Power circuit and load calculation for LV switchgear • Assist supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems • Preparation of bill of materials and other MRP-related documents and Electrical equipment selection and design in the Hazardous Area • Minimise/eliminate nonvalue-added operations within the production area • Where required, support with electrical installations, function testing, troubleshooting, and systems commissioning. SKILLS & EXPEIRENCE To be considered for this role, you will bring. • A degree in Electrical Engineering with sound experience in process control and system design • Current registration on NER, but ideally CEng or Victoria BLA registered • Solid knowledge of LV systems, DC ELV systems, Load calculation, circuit protection sizing, cable calculations, etc; in accordance with AS3000 and AS3008 • Demonstrated experience in programming, configuring, and diagnosing PLC and HMI systems; especially Siemens, IDEC, WAGO and Allen-Bradley, using ladder logic and structured text • Experience with various programming languages and IEC 61131-3 standards. • Familiarity with IEC 61508 and IEC 61580 Standards COMPANY CULTURE Working in a professional environment is paramount.
