National Sales Manager - Food Service — South Brisbane, Brisbane

Based in South Brisbane , Sydney or Melbourne and reporting to the Customer Director Food Service this is an excellent opportunity to work within the leadership group of the Food Service team. This role has the responsibility of owning the field execution of our brands within the Food Service marketplace in conjunction with Food Service Channel Managers, National Field Sales Manager and Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s) on field objectives and KPIs across all Conventional Food Service Channels. This is a supportive and high performing team operating in a dynamic and evolving industry. Your leadership style is achievement focused and collaborative, and as a team player you gain internal alignment to deliver sustainable profitable growth for Lactalis. Key accountabilities of the role are: Joint ownership of total foodservice commercial result in the pursuit of achieving the value, volume and margin budgets as set by the business on an annual basis. To lead, guide and coach the State Sales Manager team Lead team engagement in-line with Lactalis values across the wider Foodservice Team. Drive the execution of the NPD by increasing the points of distribution Lead processes to deliver commercial results including Risks & Opportunities Own and deliver the monthly forecast – both volume and financial targets Proactively develop strategies and tactics to optimise profitable sales performance for Foodservice. Analyse and monitor sales and financial data weekly to ensure results are on track. Liaise with field operations team to ensure Food Service focus and clear objective setting for cycle when required. The preferred skills to help you be successful in this role are: Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales/marketing/commercial Degree Qualification – business or similar discipline Advanced Commercial Acumen – Budgeting, P&L to EBIT Category Management experience – principles and leavers Advanced Negotiation skills Competitive environment knowledge – Category & Channel Customer focus – Channel & Retailer understanding Trade Marketing – Market Activation Solid sales experience at regional or national level.
