We are hiring for a Senior Propulsion Engineer (Engine Systems) to support the Head of Propulsion Engineering with the design, test, and production of high-performance liquid bi-propellant rocket engines for our family of orbital launch vehicles. You will document and communicate across teams to ensure duties are performed in an efficient and timely manner whilst adhering to Gilmour Space policies and processes. Lead the design and development of liquid rocket engines at the system level Perform trade studies and performance analyses on pump-fed liquid rocket engines for our family of the orbital launch vehicles Create document packages for design reviews, post-test reviews and launch readiness milestones Support the design, development, and commissioning of new engine test facilities Define test requirements and support test campaigns to develop and qualify liquid engine systems Support vehicle integration & test activities, as well as launch operations Act as a mentor to and support the development of junior team members in conjunction with the Head of Propulsion Overseas travel to meet external consultants when required Other duties as requested by management Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Bachelors (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 10 years of experience in a similar role (e.g., propulsion industry) Working knowledge of liquid engine system development activities from initial requirement definition through flight qualification/operation Understanding of engine system performance and power balance analysis tools and methods Familiarity with Knowledge of engineering analysis tools and CAD systems Knowledge of ECSS (E-10/30/60), MIL and NASA standards (as appropriate) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications How to Apply: If you are a proactive team player with a passion to get Australia to space and a desire to succeed, please apply now by clicking the apply button and including your resume and cover letter or head to our website: CAREER | Gilmour Space Technologies | Rocket launch provider (gspace.com).
