Location: Rockhampton or Mackay Work for Australia's Largest Rail Freight Operator Competitive salary and employment package Full Time opportunity in Central Queensland Aurizon is currently seeking to fill two Locomotive Driver positions in the Central Queensland team. About the role: Working with the Network IML Project team Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting, and marshalling Examine and certify trains as ready for departure Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures Maintain a high level of on-time running Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives Provide high quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives About you: Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster. Must be available to travel away from home for a period of up to 10 days for project works across the CQCN. Experience in QLD Safeworking System and CQCN Route knowledge is advantageous but not essential. Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience. A Certificate IV in Rail Operations. Able to work autonomously and adapt to part of a larger team across different business areas. Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence.
