Senior Process Engineer — The Rocks, Sydney

Role description: Our portfolio of environmental engineering work continues to grow across the private sector and government. We are seeking a Process Engineer with contaminated lands experience to join our team in Sydney. Role accountabilities: Designing and conducting treatability studies for remediation and industrial wastewater treatment. Working with principals for process design of industrial wastewater systems. Characterising, assessing and managing trade waste streams at industrial sites. Supporting PFAS site investigation at aviation sites and assessing remediation technologies and developing remediation action plans. Investigating industrial fire systems for PFAS impact and developing firefighting foam transition processes including decontamination of piping systems. Managing, assessing and presenting data from remediation and wastewater treatment processes. Field oversight and sampling for industrial maintenance operations, in particular involving PFAS at aviation sites. Contributing to complex remediation and environmental engineering projects across a wide range of industrial and government clients locally and nationally. Collaborating on a variety of currently active, small to medium sized projects and larger projects on the horizon. Assisting in providing consulting support and advice to multidisciplinary design and construction teams as well as contractor liaison. Developing technical presentations for clients and conferences. Participate in Global Communities of Practice in remediation, industrial wastewater treatment, and/or PFAS. Supporting the winning of projects through the preparation of proposals and bids. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You have a strong base of contaminated lands and environmental engineering experience in government and private sectors and come to us with: Demonstrated process/chemical engineering qualifications. 5-8 years of experience in engineering and/or consulting. Experience in undertaking field activities, managing stakeholders and providing guidance and technical advice to contractors. Demonstrated experience in technical aspects of proposal and report writing - experience in consultancy environments. Defence sector and PFAS experience will be highly regarded.
