See yourself in our team: This role is part of the PEGA Testing Team, a part of the wider workflow Platform Chapter. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager playing an important strategic and technical role leading end-to-end functional and automation test solutions. You will foster an environment of engineering excellence and a culture of ongoing improvement. You will support critical programs of work by designing and implementing solutions for business-driven initiatives and technology uplift as part of Workflow Crew. You will enjoy working in a hybrid agile development environment, running workshops and sprint ceremonies. As the Staff Quality Engineer, you will bring your expertise in quality engineering, test automation, risk management, business solutions, systems optimisation, and contribute to strategic test automation initiatives to evolve testing automation practices and tools. You will be responsible for ongoing change and development for the workflow solutions and provide technology oversight to different business units like Retail Banking, Business Banking, etc. You also have the opportunity to provide your technical expertise to help strengthen the standards of the team that spans across multiple geographies. We're interested in hearing from people who: Are eager to take on the role of the squad's "Quality Advocate," encouraging a critical thinking mindset and drive prevention of defects over detection of defects. Can contribute to the development of test harnesses, frameworks, tools and infrastructure to enable test automation, CI/CD and code quality. Have a deep understanding of quality attributes in SDLC and quality practices. Influences product design, implementation, and enhancement to support testability and quality. Lead the squad on the journey of quality engineering and DevSecOps through coaching and mentoring, especially software engineers. Automates real-time anomaly detection through services such as log monitoring. Creates well-engineered, scalable and reliable tests, and review tests created by other engineers. Cultivates engagement and learning culture through activities such as guild presentations and blogs. Provides technical feedback, guidance and mentoring to Quality and Test Engineers, to support their career progression and technical capability uplift. Works closely with everyone on project squads to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions. Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team: Expertise with programming language - C# using Visual Studio, Java, Javascript. Deep understanding of API testing tools and BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) framework - Selenium, Specflow. Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD implementation - Github and Teamcity. Web services, REST/SOAP/XML and API/Service based testing using tools such as POSTMAN and Pact. Proficient using Jira and Confluence. Familiarity with Cloud - AWS preferred. Any experience with the following would be highly regarded but not essential: Blazemeter, Docker, knowledge of Pega system, and ISTQB qualification.
