Position Overview: Southern Electrical Wholesalers are seeking a full-time Sales and Operations Manager to join our team. Work Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:30 The role: Oversee and manage daily sales and operations, including staff and stock management Implement and refine business strategies to improve profitability and margins Develop, execute, and review operational policies and procedures Conduct stock control and inventory checks Manage WHS compliance Handle recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff Maintain supplier relations and conduct counter sales Drive improvements in distribution and overall business operations Lead, train, and develop the team to achieve measurable results Directly manage sales, warehousing, and delivery staff Perform ad hoc duties such as system and device troubleshooting and liaising with Head Office The requirements: Preferably with warehousing, sales /customer service experience within an electrical wholesaler. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders Relevant qualifications and/or formal management training advantageous Proven team management and leadership capabilities Vision, drive, and innovative thinking Experience managing large stock and inventory levels Knowledge of freight and logistics cost reduction Demonstrated staff management and people development experience Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong communication and negotiation abilities Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment Hold an Australian class C driver's license Proactive and calm personality with a hands-on approach Must be an Australian/New Zealand resident or citizen (no sponsorship or temporary visas) About the Company: Southern Electrical Wholesalers, located in Glebe, are part of MM Electrical Merchandising (MMEM), a successful national organization with over 450 stores nationwide.
