The Finance Administration Officer forms part of the Election Manager Support Officer (EMSO) Support Centre. The Support Centre consists of 12 Election Manager Support Officers who provide support to Election Managers across 93 council areas/regions. The Support Centre provides a high level of customer service for Election Managers across the state and in remote locations. This support is provided by phone, email, and webinars. About the role: 4-month contract starting the ASAP until the 18th of October Full time office-based position in Sydney CBD, 231 Elizabeth St Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm $34.58 per hour Super (overtime rates apply if and when required) Candidates must be Australian citizens and enrolled on the electoral roll to be considered for this position. Candidates must be willing to obtain a National Police Check and sign a Political Neutrality Document before starting in the role. The Administration Officer provides assistance with: Data entry into Finance and other related systems; Track timesheets data, escalate issues relating to timesheets; Enter invoices and purchases in the system; Prepare for accounts payable of a high volume of transactions; Respond to telephone enquiries from Election Managers; Provide administration support to the EMSO Support Centre; Maintain records and other documentation in a timely and efficient manner. Role requirements: Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate information in a clear, accurate and respectful manner. Experience in a financial/administrative role. Previous experience within a local, State or Federal government desirable. Strong customer service skills. Understanding of basic accounting/bookkeeping principles. Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a busy work environment. Strong computer skills (MS Office suite) and ability to complete administrative, clerical and numerical tasks.
