Senior Finance Manager - Retail — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

Hybrid working model – Southbank work from home Critical Senior Finance Manager role in a rapidly growing organisation Product allowance, onsite bar, $2 coffees and partnership perks Your Impact This role requires a commercial and strategic partnering approach to all aspects of the Grocery sales channel with a particular focus on the Woolworths customer. You will also elevate and deliver outcomes by providing Commercial Finance leadership to the wider Group Finance and Hub Finance teams. Key responsibilities As part of the Finance team reporting to the Head of Finance – Grocery & Partnerships, your role involves regularly assessing trade investment performance, commercial margin, Trade DMI, overheads, and capital investment. Your primary focus will be collaborating with the Woolworths Head of Sales on all commercial finance-related matters. Understand the dynamics between retailers and business profit and loss statements. Provide essential insights for investment decisions impacting retailer and business profitability. Identify and address performance deviations from budget and forecasts. Take corrective actions as needed during month-end reporting. Develop a solid understanding of the OTC (Order-to-Cash) process. Drive efficiency improvements in accruals and claims management. Analyze channel strategy, including retail discounting and profitability. Provide comprehensive commercial insights to support decision-making, including pricing recommendations and promotional analytics. Evaluate the financial and strategic returns of new business opportunities and capital investments Strengthen the commercial IBP process by partnering with Sales to produce a reliable demand plan Continuously seek improved ways of working, including process efficiency, improved quality and fit for purpose analysis. About You With proven experience preferably within an FMCG environment, you will bring your revenue management, trade spend and pricing operations experience to this role. You will also have a strong commercial finance or finance business partnering/ consulting background. Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with an ability to share key insights and recommended courses of action succinctly will see you excel in this role. Why Asahi Beverages?
