At Enerven, we’re focused on connecting you with tomorrow The Role: 2 year fixed term contract We are seeking a skilled NBN Line Design Technical Officer to join our Engineering Design & Technical Services branch. Reporting to the CAD & Telecommunications Manager, you will be responsible for design delivery of environmentally sound and cost-effective overhead and underground telecommunication projects. These designs must meet all regulatory requirements and SA Power Networks quality and technical standards. Key requirements include: Coordinate internal & external design interactions Facilitate field inspections. Provide Network Update Advice and manage In Field Design Variations. Providing detailed drawings and schedules. Ensuring designs and as builts comply with regulatory and client standards as well as project scopes. Collaborating with project managers, design suppliers and construction crews. Meet and maintain client KPIs. The Person: The ideal candidate for the NBN Line Design Technical Officer position will need: Strong knowledge of SA Power Networks Safe Operating Procedures and risk management. Advanced communication skills and proficient IT skills . A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in NBN Design. High-level problem-solving skills, business acumen, and commercial awareness. Sound knowledge of construction methodologies. Experience with business deployment (FTTP & Enterprise Ethernet) and new developments (FTTP, FTTN, HFC). Proficiency in MapInfo (S18 spec), SpatialNet, AutoCAD and QGIS. Familiarity with N2P and Aerial Design highly desirable. To be successful in this role, you must: Possess strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines. Have a current Driver's License. Be willing to work outside normal hours during peak workloads and travel as required.
