We bring brands to life The opportunity: The Print and Textile Designer works closely with the Design Manager and Designers and will develop new commercially-appealing designs, prints and colourways for a variety of fabrics that meet the visual and quality needs of the business. This role will be responsible for developing new, fresh, original, unique prints and designs across our brands to enable us to be competitive in the market. Understanding the customer profiles and designing across the ranges to various target markets, while exploring innovative ideas to support the growth of the brand, as well as the ability to build a print library that can be accessed at anytime. Key duties and responsibilities: Research and forecast the latest trends, themes, prints, fabrications and colours Work closely with the Design Manager and Designers to design new original prints that reflect the handwriting of the our brands brand Develop finished digital artwork, additional colour separation for China Design new seamless artwork each season Creating original prints in multiple colours combinations in full repeat Creating motifs for cads Completing proceeds for China Work closely with the Design Manager/Designer to manage the weekly flow of textile development Ensure the effective flow and approval of development, and formal sign off of all fabrics Manage and approval of print strike offs for each season, Graphic design placement prints Build a print library The skills and experience you offer us: 10 years' experience as a Textile/Print Designer within the fashion retail industry Adobe Creative Suite proficiency Understanding of different fabric types Hand painted drawing experience is preferred.
