Senior Legal Secretary - 12-Month Parental Leave Contract — The Rocks, Sydney

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Secretary to join their Commercial Law team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting Partners and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. About You : A minimum of 2 years’ experience is essential, preferably working in a global or top-tier legal environment, having worked in areas of Litigation, Commercial Law. You possess a deep understanding of legal processes and procedures. You are proficient in legal software, including file management, billings systems, and advanced Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook). Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous proofreading skills are a must. You are a strong communicator with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients, partners, and staff at all levels. You are a strategic thinker who can prioritise tasks, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You possess a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive administrative support to Senior Partners, including managing their calendars, scheduling meetings, and making complex travel arrangements. Oversee legal workflows, ensuring timely and accurate document preparation, e-filing, and case management. Maintain meticulous client and office files, both electronically and in paper format. Assist with billing processes, working with the billing department to resolve issues and ensure efficient finalisation of statements. Communicate effectively with clients, responding to inquiries and ensuring smooth client relations.
