Production Engineer — St Ives, Ku-ring-gai Area

Role Details: Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Production, you will facilitate the safe and optimal extraction of gold from the Underground mining operations (Invincible UG). In compliance with site standards, you will be responsible for all site mining engineering requirements including drill and blast pattern design and production scheduling in line with short to medium term plan. This role is offered on a 8 days on, 6 days off roster fly in fly out from Perth, or residential Kambalda/Kalgoorlie. Long service leave pro-rata after 5 years of continuous service Educational assistance About the role: Assist the Senior Engineer with the preparation of short and medium-term plans and forecasts. Develop and Implement a 3-weekly production plan in line with operational targets set by monthly and quarterly plans. Contribute to the stope reconciliation, as well as continuous improvement of dilution and recovery in stopes through design optimization; Develop drill and blast designs that maximise ore extraction and minimise dilution. Liaise with the operational and technical teams for short to medium-term schedule implementation. Appraising the Underground Manager of issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication in an appropriate manner. Be organized and prepared to undertake additional/alternative responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Senior Engineer or Underground Manager. About you: Hold a Bachelor Engineering degree in Mining Engineer or equivalent. Demonstrate underground mining engineering experience, with exposure to drill and blast design, preferably gold. Be team-orientated. Having exposure to Mining software Surpac and Deswik CAD is essential.
