About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer with proven experience working in a commercial design environment, to join our Brisbane office as part of our award-winning National Interior Design team. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be managing projects end to end, including project financials and acting as the client contact. Strong design acumen and client management skills are a must. This is both a leadership and hands-on role. We rely on our designers to manage projects from end to end, sometimes with assistance from our documentation team, or autonomously. All our designers are required to have strong Revit skills as well as the proven ability to communicate designs and ideas through multiple mediums including Revit, Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop and Sketchup. We work across multiple sectors including Workspace, Commercial, Education, and Healthcare so you will gain exposure to a variety of different sectors. Our Brisbane studio is in the creative heart of Brisbane, just off James Street in Fortitude Valley. With close access to trains and buses as well as an onsite shower, you can also ride, run, or skate to work with ease. The team in Brisbane are a fun-loving, tight-knit group, and you would be welcomed warmly into the fold. General Responsibilities: Play a lead role in client briefings, workshops, design, and design development Manage and deliver projects from all stages; concept design, space planning, design development, documentation to on-site construction management and contract administration Lead and manage your own folio of projects and work closely with our Partners Liaise with clients, consultants and other external stakeholders Contribute to the ongoing development and mentoring of other staff Prepare presentations and communicate designs in multiple forms; Revit, Enscape, Indesign, Photoshop, Sketchup, VR etc. About you: To be successful in this role you will need: A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Commercial Sector interior design Exceptional communication and people skills Strong client and stakeholder management skills Ability to lead teams through all project phases: concept design, space planning, design development, documentation to on-site construction management and contract administration Project Management experience; project planning, resource management, management of project financials and project performance Ability to lead and deliver multiple projects simultaneously A thorough understanding of the fundamental BCA’s and related building regulations and specifications The capacity to work as part of a team with the ability to work autonomously Passionate about mentoring and getting the best out of people Solid presentation skills and ability to communicate design in multiple systems; InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch-up, Enscape, Powerpoint, etc. Proven Revit skills What is on Offer?
