Customer Service Officer Location: Wetherill Park Job Type: Temporary Working Hours: 8am – 4pm – Monday - Friday Are you a proactive and customer-focused professional looking for a temporary assignment? Our client is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Officer to join their team whilst backfilling maternity leave. The role will provide a crucial link between our warehouse/production and our valued customers. Responsibilities: Provide clear and accurate information in response to customer and management queries. Receipt and process customer orders into the warehouse management system. Process purchase orders for production work and consumable materials. Perform daily administrative tasks as part of the overall workload. Offer knowledgeable and proactive service to new and existing customers. Liaise with and support planning, estimating, and production departments. Manage overflow estimating and simple costing services as needed. Act as the first point of contact for inbound queries. Collaborate with estimating and sales departments to best serve customers. Invoice out completed jobs and enter bills into account management software. Manage same-day courier bookings and tracking. Book campaign freight and prepare tracking reports for customers. Skills & Experience: 2-5 years of previous experience in customer-service-oriented roles that include order management Prior exposure to raising purchase orders Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new software quickly. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Team-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail is crucial.
