About the company An exciting opportunity to join a leading FMCG business located in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. About the role The Head of Maintenance is responsible for leading the Maintenance team across multiple sites to ensure optimal performance and reliability of plant equipment and facilities. This role will also oversee the implementation and improvement of asset management strategies. They will be responsible for connecting and driving the engagement across the maintenance team while building and optimising the relationship with opertions. It is critical this person has the ability to lead from the front within the team at the shop floor level. Critical to the role is the ability to be a strong leader within the maintenance leadership team. The individual will need to be comfortable in working hands on with the team while also looking to empower their team. The right candidate will build strong relationships with the team and cross functionally across the site. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing maintenance budgets and managing costs. Skills & experiences This is an exciting and integral role within the business and your experience and skill set will include the following: Engineering Degree or Trades background Demonstrated leadership within a maintenance environment, must be able to proactively lead a team. Experience leading maintenance within and FMCG or related industry environment. 5 years experience in a maintenance and reliability focussed team, Experience with Lean and CI tools would be an advantage Ability to develop and management a maintenance budget.
