As the Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure consistent and profitable growth in sales revenues Position Title: Business Development Manager Location: Sydney, NSW About the Company: Our client is a leading waste management company dedicated to providing sustainable solutions and exceptional customer service. They are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team. Position Overview: As the Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure consistent and profitable growth in sales revenues through new sales, customer retention, and growth. This role requires strategic planning, effective deployment, and a keen ability to identify objectives and action plans to improve short and long-term business revenues. Core Functions: Increase revenue by attracting new customers and maintaining or growing revenue streams with existing customers. Achieve revenue targets as set out in the Employment Agreement. Sign contracts with new customers and re-sign current customers to new contracts, identifying upsell opportunities. Utilize and manage the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Provide weekly reports on activities, wins, losses, and market activities. Report to management on sales revenues and meet corporate objectives. Key Responsibilities: Perform sales activities including prospecting and financial negotiations related to the sale of goods and applied discounts. Provide accurate monthly revenue reports. Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth. Assist in completing and implementing large tenders. Manage customer proposals. Allocate company resources efficiently to support sales commitments. Advise on opportunities to streamline processes and systems to enhance collaboration between customer service, operations, and sales. Follow up on all inquiries from both commercial and operational contacts to close open customer requirements. Manage customer perceptions and relationships to ensure positive communication. Administrative Responsibilities: Accurately record all relevant contacts with stakeholders in the CRM system. Manage day-to-day administrative matters in line with project and maintenance objectives and standards. Ensure all project and maintenance activities are documented and confirmed with proper documentation. Ensure all performed work is invoiced and documented correctly. Prepare progress reports and work completion projects. Develop solutions to meet customer expectations, including nonstandard servicing. Qualifications: Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the waste management or related industry. Strong negotiation and financial management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using CRM systems. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
