WE ARE HIRING FOR AN EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN FOR OUR GLENDENNING SITE Job Type: Full-time Permanent Join a dynamic and innovative team in the Glendenning area, a leader in the packaging industry. We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our electrical systems. About the Job Installation and Repair: Execute the installation and repair of electrical components and devices in a safe manner, ensuring all equipment is maintained in safe working order. On-Call Participation: Participate in the on-call roster to address any breakdowns or urgent maintenance needs outside of regular working hours. Breakdown Reporting: Report all temporary repairs occurring during breakdowns or callouts to the Maintenance Manager, providing plans to restore machines to their original condition. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment, completing scheduled electrical PMs to ensure optimal performance. Corrective Workorders: Ensure timely completion of assigned electrical corrective workorders. Collaboration: Assist other trades within the maintenance team as directed by the Maintenance Manager. Project Work: Carry out project work as directed by the Maintenance Manager and Electrical Team Leader. Housekeeping: Maintain housekeeping in the electricians' workshop area to promote safe working conditions. Workorder Monitoring: Check and escalate pending electrical workorders that require parts to the Electrical Team Leader. Special Process Equipment: Maintain 'special process' equipment and monitor performance to meet quality requirements. Building and Machinery Maintenance: Maintain and carry out all electrical work related to building and machinery. Breakdown Logging: Ensure breakdowns and repairs are accurately logged according to maintenance. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Diagnose breakdowns using PLC software of Siemens, Allan Bradley, and customized control modules. Troubleshoot and resolve faults in VSDs and VFDs using software. Root Cause Analysis: Engage in initiatives to improve electrical reliability through root cause analysis and durability assessment of electrical parts. Distribution Boards and LV Panel: Perform maintenance on electrical Distribution Boards (DBs) and maintain the site's main Low Voltage (LV) panel. Power Factor Correction: Regularly check site Power Factor Correction (PFC) and report irregularities to the Maintenance Manager/Team Leader. Shutdown Work: Execute shutdown work at predetermined intervals. Critical Spares Inventory: Participate in maintaining the cataloguing of critical spares inventory for electrical components. Thermographic Testing: Conduct thermographic testing on site electrical panels using site thermographic instruments. Safety Compliance: Respond to all safety requirements and actively participate in risk assessments. About your Qualifications: Relevant electrical trade qualification or equivalent. You must be flexible to work on rotating rosters Current Unrestricted Australian Electrical License Proven experience in industrial/manufacturing electrical maintenance. Strong understanding of safety protocols and risk assessments. Current scissor lift/boom lift/forklift license is desirable and highly regarded.
