About the role Reporting to the L&D Manager, this role is responsible for designing and developing high-quality accredited and enterprise training materials that meet the needs of learners and contribute to achieving Pacific National’s strategic priorities. The Learning Designer will collaborate with a highly skilled design and compliance team, as well as subject matter experts, trainers and stakeholders to create engaging and effective learning experiences and assessment content. Key responsibilities include: Analyse learner needs through collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders, identifying performance gaps and design appropriate learning solutions to address gaps. Develop comprehensive and engaging learning and assessment content that aligns with learning objectives, utilising various methods such as e-learning, interactive activities, practical and knowledge assessments, and multimedia (graphics, audio, video). Design learning and assessment content to ensure it is accessible to a diverse group of learners, including those with language, literacy and numeracy needs. Design formative and summative assessments to support and measure learner competence. Analyse learner performance data to identify areas for improvement and update content accordingly. Ensure all learning materials and resources comply with accredited training package requirements and are accurate, up-to-date, and free of errors. Utilise the Learning Management System to upload, organise, manage and report on learning content and learner progress. Other learning design related duties as required by the Learning and Development portfolio. About you The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and in the design of accredited learning and assessment material that complies with training package requirements and ASQA standards for RTOs. You will have strong knowledge of learning theories, instructional design models, and adult learning principles and proficiency in using digital instructional design software and multimedia tools. In addition, you’ll be expected to demonstrate: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment advantageous. Excellent writing and editing skills, with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organisational and project management skills. Proficiency in using digital instructional design software and multimedia tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Suite and Vyond.
