DIRECTORATE: Business, Growth & Community CLASSIFICATION: Grade 2 SALARY: $32.25 per hour (includes 25% loading in lieu of all leave entitlements) 11% employer contribution to superannuation REPORTING TO: Retro Lane Cafe Manager EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Casual THE POSITION: To provide excellent customer service and assist in the efficient operation of the Youth Cafe. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist customers with sales/purchases required in a friendly and courteous manner Operate POS registers for Cafe sales including eftpos transactions. Provide a high level of hospitality expertise in food and beverage preparation, handling and presentation Maintain cleaning standards inside and outside cafe - especially in food preparation and sales areas Assist with re-ordering of stock items and stocktaking when required Work closely with the AlburyCity Youth Cafe Programs staff and young people to provide a welcoming environment to all customers. Restock fridges Assist with cleaning in the following areas: all equipment used for food cooking and presentation eg; coffee maker, salad bar, grill, toasters, microwave, pie warmer, deep fryer and range hood filters floor areas in cafe and when necessary cafe service areas refrigerators, counter top and fronts, shelves and glassware Report any maintenance issues and other relevant information to the supervisor Observe and adhere to requirements of Safe Food Handling Legislation Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training. Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS. Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day to day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity's Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct.
