The Opportunity Come and discover the opportunity to join our Basic Oxygen Steelmaking (BOS) furnace team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility as an Electrician . As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers. You will join a cross functional team that ensures equipment is maintained to the highest standards to meet our objectives for quality and reliability. In this critical role, you will be able to use your technical background and experience to deliver key outcomes, whilst ensuring your safety and that of your colleagues is a priority. This opportunity is open to both experienced Electricians, and recently trade qualified Electricians who have experience within an industrial or continuous manufacturing environment. What will you do? With your proven understanding of industrial electrical systems, in this role you will: completion of routine electrical maintenance tasks follow the safe system of work and develop isolation instructions and job safety analysis for the required work perform equipment inspections, identify improvement opportunities and report on findings fault-find on electrical equipment including PLCs, drives and instrumentation systems perform safe, efficient and effective emergency repairs More about you You are driven by self-development, committed to our success, and have technical experience within an industrial, manufacturing environment.
