Scheduled to complete the changes in Spring 2024, the hotel will provide an all-encompassing experience of entertainment, leisure, dining, conferencing and unparalleled hospitality. As Assistant Bar Leader, you have co-responsibility and accountability for all things bar related in your venue. You have responsibility for shift operations, team performance and efficiency of the bar. As Assistant Bar Leader for your venue, you will be the best support and 2IC for the Bar Leader, and you need to be a second set of eyes when it comes to service and beverage quality. You should be across all specialty products we serve as well as a range of other common products. There should be a sub focus to be determined by you and the Bars Leader. I.e. Australian Whisky, cocktail creativity et al. As a team, you will be the ultimate guardians of the quality and standards of the bar and beverage service, as well as the creativity and thought leadership. You are a driving force of knowledge, creativity and instilling a culture of professionalism and exceptional service. Further to that, the Assistant Bar Leader is an ambassador and spokesperson for your venue. Qualifications Advanced understanding of spirits and cocktails. Advanced Coffee & Tea experience and knowledge. At least 5 years experience in a high volume, high touch service cocktail environment. At least 2 years in a supervisory role in a high volume, high touch service cocktail environment. At least 5-7 years experience in a CBD/ corporate hospitality environment. Ability to understand and react to instruction in regards to COGS. Advanced knowledge of BOH and FOH venue operations. Have ambition to create a world class bar experience, and build the brand. Has the ambition to build their own profile - and the team's profile - within the bar industry. Is a team player that contributes to and assists co-workers without being asked. Ability to be active for minimum 7 hours per day. Full Australian Work Rights.
