About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: As a recognised clinical leader, provide strategic leadership and management of the social work service and staff at CKW across service lines, clinical streams and tertiary and state-wide service areas Responsible for all aspects of operational management, service, and workforce development across the Social Work Department, including strategic direction and planning responsibilities across multiple service lines, clinical streams, and clinical specialties to ensure optimum delivery of clinical services by Social Work staff Be accountable for maintaining and developing strong relationships and partnerships working with Allied Health Professional Leadership across the facility, MNHHS and the state, with consumer organisations, universities, and service delivery partners to ensure sustainability of workforce, services, and appropriate patient flow. Apply expert clinical knowledge and skills to the professional management of Social Work clinical services to patients, ensuring alignment with health service and state-wide priorities and adherence to professional standards and legislative directions. Maintenance of a safe workplace that values the health and safety of co-workers, patients and visitors including safe operation of equipment, and identification, rectification and/or reporting of situations outside of operational guidelines.
