MCS Consulting is seeking an Application Engineer to bridge between the R&D, product management teams and customers managing initial deployment of new products and solutions in pre-release field trials working with key customers on site. The job scope includes contributing to product requirements definition and providing training to customers and employees. The Product Domain requires experience with applications software and electronics products including wireless communications for hazardous environments. You should be able to install software and hardware, be able to write scripts on Linux, debug software installation issues, create dashboards, and write reports in PowerBI, Grafana or similar products. You will be expected to contribute your expertise to the evolution of the NPI process with a softer handover between R&D and Sales. This role is based in the Brisbane office and is unsuitable for remote workers. Travel to sites in Australia and overseas will be required. Specific Technical Skills and Experience Extensive experience deploying and managing Linux and trouble-shooting Linux-based applications.
