Make your mark A career that works for you Make a difference, make it meaningful The Opportunity Reporting to the Engineer Manager, this role sits within a close-knit team who are passionate and focussed on providing reliable application functions and developing effective solutions using our technology. You'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust application software solutions, all while embracing DevOps practices. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to craft innovative cloud-based solutions, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and perform root cause analysis to boost reliability. Your responsibilities will include managing project changes, ensuring infrastructure and compliance, tackling production issues, and maintaining our production environment to ensure 100% service availability. Optimise performance, adhere to DevOps best practices, and mitigate security risks. You'll document technical details, share your expertise, and mentor junior developers, all while working closely with analysts, architects, testers, and project managers. Out-of-business hours and weekend work to implement changes may be required. What we look for in a successful candidate: Are you an experienced analyst engineer with a passion for application software and cloud technologies? We're looking for you Your strong programming skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle relational database, Unix scripting, and experience with Visual Basic, .NET, and COM/DCOM will shine here. We value your understanding of AWS, hands-on DevOps experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, and automation tools. Your expertise in hardware, networks, and software, alongside familiarity with enterprise applications and middleware, is crucial. Bring your top-notch problem-solving, debugging, and optimisation skills, especially if you have Wealth Management/Financial Services experience. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are a must. A Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
